Marvin D. Yates, Sr. is a lifelong Detroit area resident, except for a 3yr. stay in Washington DC. Marvin holds both a BBA and MBA in Business Administration . Marvin obtained his PMP certification in 2006, and has completed various other IT Certifications and Training over his 30+ year IT career. In 2012 he began his work in the Department of Defense with the DIA. Initially a Project Manager in Mission and Business Applications, Marvin's last role was as Section Chief of Internal Use Software and Audits. Upon returning to Detroit, Marvin joined ProsperUS Detroit as an Instructor to contribute to the resurgence of the Small Business ecosystem in Detroit. He joined the National Security Innovation Network a DoD agency in February 2023.
