Dr. Alecia Gabriel is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The Lab Drawer, a leading ed-tech company delivering hands-on, culturally relevant STEAM learning experiences to K-12 students. The Lab Drawer has shipped over 30,000 STEAM kits to classrooms in more than 8 countries, generating over $1 million in revenue. A proud Detroit native with a background in biochemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana and Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry from Louisiana State University, Dr. Alecia is dedicated to closing the educational gap in underserved communities and championing diversity in STEAM. Her contributions to have been recognized by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
